OATMEAL BREAKFAST

What is your favorite breakfast? Oatmeal with berries and nuts(seeds) is one of my favorite breakfast options.
Oats are naturally gluten-free, low in fat, high in protein, and have soluble fiber that keeps your gut bacteria happy and cholesterol down. Oats also contain a bounty of minerals like manganese, selenium, phosphorus, fiber, magnesium, and zinc. I bumped up the protein and fiber by adding heart-healthy nuts and berries.

Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 medium banana, mashed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup of blueberries
Nuts/seeds of your choice
pinch of salt
Directions
Combine oats and almond milk, cinnamon, and salt into a small saucepan and turn heat to medium/high.
Bring to a boil. Then, turn the heat down to low/medium and continually stir for around 3-5 minutes as the oatmeal cooks and thickens.
Once oatmeal is at the desired consistency, remove from heat, add banana blueberries, nuts & seeds, serve immediately.
