HEALTHY GRANOLA RECIPE

It is not easy to find decent granola in a standard cereal aisle, even while shopping in a healthy grocery store. You'll likely find a variety of sugar-laden desserts disguised as granola. They're loaded with sugars and not-so-good fats. Sometimes, even the healthier options contain stuff that doesn't work for you may be due to your dietary limitations, such as food sensitivity. So if you love granola as I do, you will fall in love with this recipe. This freshly baked granola is packed with delicious and nutritious ingredients. You can mix it with your favorite milk or yogurt, top it with some fresh or frozen berries as a delicious breakfast, mid-morning snack, or early afternoon dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups gluten-free rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts of your choice

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1 Tbsp carob powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup raw honey

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Directions


Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients

Step 3: In a baking pan with cookie sheets, spread the mixture evenly and bake for 15 minutes until the top layer is browned. Then, flip/mix with a spatula and place back in the oven for another 8 minutes. Remove from oven.

Step 4: The mixture will be moist but dry and harden as it cools. Store in an airtight container.
