GREEN SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE






Spirulina is an organism that grows in both fresh and saltwater. It is a type of cyanobacteria, a family of single-celled microbes that are often referred to as blue-green algae.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp spirulina powder

  • 1 scoop collagen peptides

  • 1 c. of leafy green; a half cup of berries; half banana

  • 1 tbsp of mixed flaxseed

  • ½ c. fresh ginger and fresh turmeric

  • ½ c. of fresh/ frozen berries

  • black pepper

  • 1 ½ c. coconut water (or still water if you want to avoid sugar)


Directions


  • Tightly pack 1cup of leafy greens in a measuring cup and then toss into blender.

  • Add water and blend until all leafy chunks are gone.

  • Add the rest of the ingredients, blend for 30 seconds or so until completely smooth

  • Pour into a glass of your favorite cup and enjoy :)
